Today I came across an interesting iOS bug which could make anyone download any iOS App for free from the AppStore. Getting to the steps directly, there's a simple procedure and you can enable your device to download any app for free. This works on any 64 bit device, ie: iPhone 5S, 6, 6S.
To do this:
- Simply open Settings
- Go to General -> Date and Time
- Uncheck ‘Set Automatically’
- Change the date to 1st Jan 1970 (Scroll up to get to year 2000, then go back, into date settings again, repeat until it reaches 1970)
Once you've changed the date and time settings, just restart your iPhone. Now you can go to your AppStore and download any Application for free. This bug inverts the datetime bits on your phone and so the applications are masked to be run as Developer.
In my next article I would discuss about the Safari url crashing bug which was discovered recently. Thank you for reading and I would appreciate the comments. PS: Used this blog
